please see below a job advert for a four-year PhD post within alarge VW
foundation-funded project on water security in Colombia. Wewill extend
the deadline to the 18th of December as the call is goingout late.

We are looking for someone with ethnographic skills and a science and
technology studies mind who is capable and willing of working in
Colombia in a highly interdisciplinary team of six other PhD students.
We are very excited about this project, which we are running together
with our colleagues from Colombia and Brazil.

_Job description_: Scientific services in research as one of seven PhD
researchers in the interdisciplinary project “Water4Whom”, especially
research on social in/equality in everyday life with multipurpose
reservoirs in three case studies in Colombia; Researchthemes include
livelihoods, access to water and water-related resources, adaptation
strategies and capacities to aspire that will then be contrasted with
the work of the other PhD researchers.

_Requirements_: Master degree in Social Anthropology, Human Geography or
related subject; interest in multi-sited ethnographic research around
dams in Colombia; interest in interdisciplinary collaboration;
experience with ethnographic field work; excellent command of the
Spanish and English languages; good communication skills; willingness to
spend extended periods of time in rural Colombia; familiarity with water
research, Latin America and theories of environmental justice will be an
asset
